Elementary School gets a Sensory Walk
November 03, 2026
In January 2026, Mrs. Denio wrote a grant request for The Community Fund through Midwest Energy, Inc.. Their board approved her request in March and we were awarded $500 for a Sensory Walk. In August, the Sensory Walk was ordered. On Thursday (10/29), it was installed after school. The elementary school introduced it to their students Monday during the daily morning message. The introduction video included where the grant came from, what a Sensory Walk is and how to use it, and the rules for accessing it. It is in the Kindergarten hallway, but it is open and available to all students.
