Mr. William Schick, our wonderful band teacher, is retiring after this year. He taught for 21 years in Plainville and 19 here--40 years total! He says his favorite part of teaching is preparing for performances. "It's like starting a puzzle, and all of the different parts of the songs are the puzzle pieces. I love watching it all come together!"
He has big plans for after retirement. He is the Mentoring Chairman and Advocacy Chairman for Northwest KMEA. He will continue in those roles, observe music teachers, substitute teach, work with the C & R Railroad, and spend time with family. Congrats! We will miss you, Mr. Schick!
