Kalee Ragsdale Wins "If I Were Mayor" Contest
January 24, 2020
Over 500 7th grade students submitted essays for the League of Kansas Municipalities' “If I Were Mayor” memo contest. Six regional winners were selected, and our very own Kalee Ragsdale was the North Central regional winner. She wrote that she would build a community walking trail because it’s good for the community. Why? “Healthy people make communities thrive.” How cool is that? Kalee won a cash award of $125, a plaque, and is invited to have lunch with the Kansas Mayors Association. Good job, Kalee!
