On Monday our 6th-8th grade band students performed at Huck Boyd. The sixth graders did traditional march pieces, one with contrasting styles (slow and dark, and then quick and light) and their favorite, "Rock of Gibraltar," which featured the percussionists on the trapset - all 3 playing at the same time. The JH band also played a traditional march and two slower, more lyrical pieces. Their favorite was the medley from "Phantom of the Opera." Way to go, Mrs. Still and company!
